Technical application – ESD tested vacuum packaging machines
There are many areas of application of KOMET vacuum packing machines. The food industry is of course a
large one. Not only sausage, meat, fish, cheese or dairy products can be perfectly preserved and protected
with KOMET.
Here is a small example of an application: ESD tested KOMET vacuum packing machines (according to
DIN EN 61340-5.1:2001), which are equipped with the particular parts, are used to pack electronic components and assembly groups which might be damaged or even destroyed by electrostatic discharging (ESD: Electro Static Discharge). This way, e.g. printed circuit boards will be protected during transport and storage from
different external influences.
